What username and password did you try?

I recently, very recently, installed backtrack 4 final onto my 8 gig usb device using Unetbootin. However, I can't log into Backtrack 4. I boot from my usb and try to log in using the the username and password that this site says are default, but no luck, just an error saying I have the wrong username or password. Could I get either clearer instructions on what to do when I boot up or a username and password that works.
Also, when I boot up Backtrack 4, its all text based, is it possible to get Backtrack 4 to start up with a login screen like on other linux versions?

Capitalisation is important. It's the difference between "Helping your brother Jack off a horse" and "Helping your brother jack off a horse".

I tried the username password combination

Which the instructions on how to install Backtrack 4 onto a usb device told me was the default, but they didn't work.
As far as l know you don't need a Username or Password when booting from USB..
l just type 'startx'
So how do I log in/get Backtrack 4 to work on my usb?
It seem to me that you can't log in because you're there already.
Will you see again that ,,text based backtrack4,, when boot from USB drive, type in startx and press Return. That's how you get nice GUI but this certainly is not login.
Thanks for the reminder Archangel. l just assumed, like Raven above that Zac had installed it properly with Unetbootin, and he was getting the Green login_prompt which only requires 'startx'.
Obviously l'm missing something Here. lt does look like BT4 isn't installed correctly.
Zac - which operating system did you use Unetbootin with and how did you format it?
The same thing happens to me, both if I start from DVD and pendrive, that is, I'm not asked for username and password, I just start with startx
By the way, I installed BackTrack on a 1.8 GB pen drive with Unetbootin; I partitioned the pen drive in one partition formatted FAT32 of 1.5 GB and one formatted EXT2 of 300 MB
I'm going to modify it to activate persistent mode
Can anyone tell me if 300 MB are enough? I think I won't install anything else, just want to make some modifications which will last the next time I boot
I'm Winston Wolf, I solve problems
Wolf, l think you will definitely need EXT3 rather than EXT2. l don't think mine worked with ext2
