Hi all,
I am trying to install BT3 on HDD that has Xp on I want dual boot system I been using the Video on the wiki page to do this but I am stuck as I get error.
when I type mount it says
aufs on
proc on
sysfs on
usbfs on
I can see the drive mounted so I went to the next step what was to make a parttition on the HDD useing qtparted when i try commit the changes I get this error
Opening '/dev/sda1' as ntfs failed: operation not supported
ok ive sorted this now but get another error
saying opertaing failed

Yes and I am following them but when i try use qtparted it says an error occured!and that about it dont give me any information why its occured and none of the how to explain about errors
That's sometimes a problem when using a gui tool, they sometimes do not report errors.
I would suggest go back and use this tutorial . it is very easy, if you get stuck post back so maybe we can help.

Hi all,
I am stuck again when I try copy files from cd to HDD using this code
cp --preserve -R /{bin,dev,home,pentest,root,usr,ect,lib,opt,sbin,va r} /mnt/backtrack/
I get cp: target '/mnt/backtract/' is not a directory
what I dont really understand as I just created it
any helps please
