Channel 13`

`When i i follow this command
Iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor channel 13

i get

error for wireless regquest ''set frequency''
(8b04)
set failed on device wlan0 ; invalid arugment

but other channels are working:

aireplay-ng -3 -b -------------- -h 00:11:22:33:44:55 wlan0
For information, no action required: Using gettimeofday() instead of /dev/rtc
05:25:20 Waiting for beacon frame (BSSID: ---------) on channel 11
05:25:20 wlan0 is on channel 11, but the AP uses channel 13

is there a solution for this problem

What country is your card from? I'm going to guess like the other thread you asked this in, it's from the US and it is locked out of channels 12-14.

Weird, it might be that the os is using the us drivers. When I get a chance I'll look over at the ubuntu forums.

i found a threat but its not working

i get a error afther this command

sudo sysctl -a | grep country

error: permission denied on key 'net .ipv4.route.flush'

and i try this also
sudo sysctl -a 00:00:00:00:00:00 ( mac adres adapter) | grep country
when i press enter i get no message just a new command rule
then i followed this command

echo "options bmc_pci countrycode=826" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/options.
then i get a new rule with

In windows we can set the channel even there is regulation boundation by configuring driver properties and to set country and channel & there is nothing to do this with US drivers.
to OP:you need a patch to bypass this channel limit set by region basis.

Try it without the sudo part. You're already logged in as root.
