setting up wireless device

i am using BT3 on a Dell studio 14 laptop with a dell wireless 1397 broadcom adapter (manufacturer broadcom). I am using BT3 via VMware.

i get a proper IP address when i use ifconfig command.
i am also able to connect to the internet.

however when i use the KISMET i get an error to define a packet source..
can someone pl guide me to setup wireless devices to be used!!

VMware ONLY works with usb devices. If you had taken 10 mins to run a search for some keywords like "wireless vmware ifconfig" (all those words were taken from your post) then you would know this. You want to know how I know? Because I answer this question at least 3 or 4 times a week.
