Default No Station Mac Address For Router In Airodump-ng

Hey everyone, I've been trying to crack wep for a while now but for some reason when I do
    Code:

    airodump-ng --ivs --write file_name --channel 11 wlan0
It only shows the station mac address for some routers not all and I need the station mac address for the next step right?
    Code:

aireplay-ng -3 -b (ROUTER I AM TRYING TO GET WEP CODES BSSID MAC ADDRESS) -h (ROUTER I AM TRYING TO GET WEP CODES STATION MAC ADDRESS) wlan0
    I am using backtrack 2.0 and a d-link dwl-g122 version B1

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

How far away from you from the target AP?
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.

Not that far, In windows it says the signal strength is 75%

Does mac filtering have anything to do with it?

No. MAC filtering simply reject's MAC adresses that are not on it's "trusted list" when they try to Connect/Authenticate with the AP

Are you sure that your target AP is on channel 11?
Try airodump without the "-c 11" ("--channel 11") option:

    airodump-ng wlan0

If now your AP is listed look at the channel and lock your card to target AP channel.

thanks for that once had a similar problem with an inspiron laptop you see but the actual problem was a delay in the ap mac showing.5 mins or so. To be fair all we did was to start airodump-ng then stop. Stop airmon. Back into monitor mode then it was fine we had to do this everytime though. We no longer have the laptop. I say we but was my good friend cjoyse who owned the trouble maker. It may be worth giving it a try.....
