Default starting firefox when hitting esc key

    hi all

did you notice that if you hit the escape key (even right now when I am writing this message) a new instance of firefox starts?

this is very annoying especially when editing files in vi insert mode and trying to get back to normal mode .... only shit+esc worked

what can be causing that ?

Clean the keyboard internal membrane & wiring sheet(it sounds weird but it but because of dirty circuitry inside keyboard some keys behaviors becomes unpredictable)

    reasonable to say that
but this does not happen in ubuntu, gentoo and XP the other os that I have

before observing this (esc <> firefox) like a stupid i did:

    slapt-get --install linux-generic-a-newer-version
didnt do anything after this just rebooted

and when I rebooted I realized how stupid i was

then I booted in ubuntu, chrooted in backtrack and tried to compile a new kernel (2.6.21.5, which was from the begining) but still no luck (while booting i got this message: freeing kernel space: 252 k free or something)

after that I got back in ubuntu and I copied the vmlinuz from the bt3 live cd to the backtrack: /boot dir

everything was fine after that, bt3 was booting fine in runlevel 3 but when tryin` to startx I got some errors that i dont have kdeinit & something like kstartup... (hate this KDE, it gives you a windows feeling)

after i've slapt-got those two everything was fine ... i was glad

but then i've realised this awful thing: hitting escape button starts a new firefox .... dammit
