ZD1211 works but optimization reqr'd

I tested BackTrack 4 beta with two wlans. BCM4318 and ZD1211 USB stick.

The BCM4318 with the b43 works perfectly.

The Zd1211 is an other story. It acts a little 'funky' if I may say. For example: aireplay-ng -9 mon0 injection test shows different percentage from 6% to 98% after second attempt. You could say the chip is a bit 'moody' and 'picky'.

The scenario is the same when it actually carries out an attack. It would either fail to send fake deuth or ARP packets. You have to make several attempts or enable disable the WLAN to get it going.

Once an attack is initiated though, the speed is 500PPS rock solid. Not too shabby for an USB stick.

It obviously works, but not without a hitch. It definitely requires some optimization and should someone inquire for logs or any information, I'd be more than willing to assist as I think this could turn in to quite the little gem, considering it only costs 7$.

I am looking for the driver file (compatible with BackTrack).

I am using VMware Workstation with Backtrack 4.
