The EDIMAX EW-7318USg works great out of the box. I just cracked my WPA2 router.

its not the card but the chipset which is supported by BT and all the rt73 chipset based cards works fine.your card is same as WUSB54GC.hope you got my point.
You are right I should have been more clear. I posted the card because that is what people see in the stores. I really wish manufacturers would print on the side of the box what chipset the unit is using. The amount of flash and/or RAM would be nice too for access points.

(my edimax work fine on xp)
does any one can help me please and thank for any help
I too am having a similar problem with the Edimax 718usg. Issues are:
I can scan using airodump, but when I then need to use SpoonWEP I sometimes have to unplug the card and put it back it to get it to work.
Sometimes when runnning Ettercap this card will loose its connection and the wireless manager can't reconnect it unless I pull it out and try again.
The card does get a little warm.... could this be the problem? I might try adding a heatsink or similar to see if that helps.
