I am having a problem the keyboard repeat rate is too sensitive on my dell laptop. I tried kbdrate -r 0 this is supposed to turn repeat off but it does not work. Tried other adjustments but nothing seems to take effect.
Any suggestions? I can barely touch the keyboard.

Sorry, this probably has to deal with that I am running this on CD...
I cant find the delete post button.

Well I guess this is still a valid question if anyone has an answer.

Doeas kbdrate -r o stop the repeating for anyone else? Thanks.

    Default Repeat rate

I didn't mind the repeat rate, but the delay before repeating irritated me

Try kbdrate -d 500 and see how you get on.
