your /etc/X11/xorg.conf needs some tweaking, post up your xorg.conf.

I have a problem when I type startx and get that error message..
I know, i have seen many posts like this, but even that i dont get my problem resolved.Code:Screens found but none have a usable configuration Fatal server error no screens found
I have HP 6715b laptop.. and have no problems with the CD, that is burned with 4x with Poweriso, and USB Drive (pendrive) wich is fine.. but
can not seem to get it working

Your ready to go
>startx
******** you no screen found
I also typed in xconf and startx but nothing comes up, hmm.. that will not even help..

Next time give some time to make a search.within last few days,this question has been asked many times.use the Magical Search function.
spenzer, you should read the slackbook, go google it and give it a good once over.
Open /etc/X11/xorg.conf in a text editor in superuser mode. BT3 should be root by default, so you should be able to open it. If not, use sudo and use 'toor' as the password.
Once you have it, post it here so we can help you out a little better. adding a screen into the file with VESA settings usually works.
Learn your basics. It won't be any good at all just to type in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
Get a good book about Linux and start reading/learning or ask me or someone else on how to start with Linux. Just jumping onto BT is definately the wrong way to go and you will have more issues than you will be happy with before you get anywhere without basic knowledge.
