Need help with my usb flash drive

My usb flash drive is being recognized as a hard drive and not a removable device... I need it to be a removable device so i can get backtrack to work.

Im running vista sp1.

This is Vista problem & should be asked in Windows forums & I don't think its problem whether its being recognized as removal or HDD,as long as its bootable.
