Installing bt4

Hello i have an acer One. is it possible to install bt4 without pxe usb or cd rom drive ? Can't i just make 3 partition and extract my bt4 iso and get grub to point to where ive installed bt4? Any help would be grateful i missing using backtrack

I'm no Linux expert but I don't think that will work because if you extract the iso what you are getting are the modules, and the necessary files to load the kernel. You should get an external CD-ROM drive or something.

Either use one of the tutorials for BT3, they should work or just have a look in the wiki.

I also have an Acer Aspire One with <<Back|Track4 running flawlessly from Remote-Exploit's thoughtfully placed "BT4 Beta Hard drive install" post atop the BT4 Beta HowTo section. Are you asking if you can boot your current OS from the hdd then download and extract the iso, edit grub.conf, and reboot into BackTrack?
