What to Do After Login Screen? VMware Version

1. I run BT3 on VMware. I found the login screen which prompts me to enter
root, toor. After than screen quits & nothing happens. What can i do to start the OS?

2. VBox never runs BT3. It reaches to a level where the screen goes blank & the cursor blinks. I followed the tutorials but none helped.

Hey! I got it working, phew.

1. The reason of my BT3 was not working, cause i chose KDE, the first choice. I had to choose KDE VSE or so, i can't remember, i think the third choice. What are the differences between those choices on the gray list, is it only to specify the quality of the graphics?

well... how do I say that... yes, it is about quality of the graphics. But the way you put things, I can say you need to read on xorg.conf configuration, what is it used for, etc...
it's in /etc/X11/xorg.conf... the same folder contains the xorg.conf templates for various situations, like when you don't have your graphics driver installed... but you will need a definite reading time on this in ordre to know what you're doing with this file.
