Default wlanconfig ap WPA2 by default?

After fighting with airsnarf I decided to try and re-invent the wheel by starting with creating an access point using

    Code:
    wlanconfig ath0 destroy
wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode ap
    iwconfig ath0 essid FreeWiFi
at this point I can see the AP named FreeWiFi but it is WPA2 encrypted

Where can I change the encryption type?
I would love to be able to switch between OPEN, WEP and WPA/WPA2 for testing.

    Thanks

    Default

Well I think out of pure luck I found a file that had all of the iwpriv sub commands listed and explained.

The full list of cammands to bring up an open ap using nothing but basic madwifi tools is as follows

    Code:
    wlanconfig ath0 destroy
wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode ap
    iwpriv ath0 authmode 1
the file I stubled upon can be seen here
