Tp-link wn422g with chip zd1211 is not working.
If start airmon-ng start wlan0, I get
wlan0 ZyDAS 1211 zd1211rw - [phy0]SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such device

If airodump-ng wlan0, I get "ioctl(SIOCSIFFLAGS) failed: Connection timed out"

In BT3 is so not working, because is not detectect.

after the ifconfig, dmesg states:

usb 2-1: firmware: requesting zd1211/zd1211b_ub

zd1211rw 2-1:1.0: RF MAXIM_NEW_RF 0x8 is not supported

tried, patching, grabbing firmware, searched thoroughly through these forums, but failed. it just may be that the TP-LINK WN422g is a no go

I hear success on ubuntu forums by using the ndiswrapper, but that doesnt support monitor mode does it?

I have since been able to get this card to work with injection, but on ubuntu 9.04
Which is 2.6.28-11-generic

So, I tried this card on ubuntu 8.10, which failed firmware loading when I would ifconfig wlan1 up, which was the same problems I was receiving with BT4.

When I stuffed around with 9.04 for fun, I discovered that the card didnt fail on ifconfig up, and was able to enter monitor mode flawlessly. However injection failed, but that was just a matter of patching the drivers:

So my general understanding is that something in the kernels in 8.10 and bt4 dont like the zd1211rw drivers/firmware.

Hope this aids anyone else with this card

u should patch zd1211rw source code on BT4. zd1211rw driver can't recognise RF uw2453 in wn422g,though driver do support uw2453. here is a patched driver from one chinese wireless bbs,
