just use the function keys on your keyboard to turn the brightness down. i have a dv9000 and i have to press the FN button along with F7 to turn down the brightness, F8 to turn it up.
brightness problem
wat up everybody im 've been using backtrack since bakctrack 2 , but with backtrack 4 beta im having problem cuz i have a laptop hp pavilion dv7 4GB memory, amd turion x2 64 , 64 bit operatin systema and ati radeom HD 3200 graphics ,, i didnt install backtrack 4 cuz , everytime im bootin backtrack everything goes well but , the brightness is to high and is killing my eeyes i dont know how to modify the brightness , can anyone hellp on da some commands , thanks

Apparently you missed the correlation there. His display brightness has affected his typing ability as well.
