Two Kernel options that should be enabled

CONFIG_USB_SUSPEND=y (saves power) and
CONFIG_TIMER_STATS=y (allows tools like powertop to access advanced statistics)

I'd like to see these useful two kernel options enabled in the upcoming kernels for now, I'll just make-kpgk my own. Thanks!

CONFIG_USB_SUSPEND are you sure it works on all PC out there ? Only think it will make the beginners forum grow in size with threads like this "Why is my USB ... .... not working "

Maybe you can give us a good howto for making power safe ?

I guess you always have too compile your kernel any way, Just too complie for the right CPU makes it perform a lot better. Too bad xconfig and gconfig dont work out off the box.
