Windows XP professional SP1 EN - anything you throw at that should give you a shell.
Hey guys, so I have a ton of computers at my house on LAN. I have tried the Autopwn tutorial titled 'autopwn w/ fast-track.py' by pureh@te, But I have not been able to get into any of the computers on my lan. I want to play around with autopwn, the better I get with it, the more I can secure my own computers.
How can I make my own computer vulnerable to it? My desktop is Ubuntu, so I dont think autopwn can do much with that, but I have another desktop with windows XP, and my old laptop, I havent opened it in like 5 years, who knows what SP that has.
Thanks guys!!!

there are, but less.
A bit of research on milw0rm and metasploit framework will go a long way.

PS - you're posting this question in the wrong forums. Mods, can you please move this to the right place?
justinh, don't forget to turn off the firewall on the 'victims'.. after you read and understand the above links
WinXP SP2 is exploitable through metasploit, especially if you install vulnerable apps.. just have a look at the remote exploits in metasploit to see which you could install... e.g. firefox 1.5...
i have been playing with backtrack 3 alot recently and have also used backtrack 4. which is looking nice.
i have now managed to crack my own wep key on my router using a wireless card.
