    Default New Macbook

    Hey All,

I have one of the new macbooks. Backtrack 4 beta boots up great, nice and fast, but i cant seem to get the wifi/bluetooth up and running.

    Has anyone had any success?

    Thanks.

after u log in and before u startx
    type /etc/init.d/networking start
that will get the net to work
as for bluetooth i think its hciconfig then follow the instructions
but i don't think our bluetooth works.. im gonna look around some more

    Hey thanks for the reply.

Just wondering though, does doing networking start help with the wireless. I didnt have a chance yet to try since you suggested, but i remember doing it the other day to get the wired connection to work.

When I do iwconfig i dont see any wireless adapters, so that is why I assumed they do not work. I didn't think doing networking start would actually discover my wireless card, I could be wrong though.

I can't see anything about bluetooth, and as for wireless, wiki has it noted under http://wiki.remote-exploit.org/index.php/HCL:Wireless read the bold paragraphs about broadcom.
