Yep, my 4G wireless ain't working either, am going to try madwifi drivers.
Seems strange slax works and buntu doesn't.
Still it's only beta, and i'm only 3 weeks into nix
Hi All,
Installed BT4 beta on an external sdhc card. Boots fine and airmon-ng works for injection. Currently have no idea how to connect to my wireless network though.
Startx works but not fvwm.
One note of caution - Following the install.pdf instructions trashed my internal sd mbr. I'm sure this was due to my inexperience, and after restoring the mbr from a backup all is well.
BT4 beta seems to run very sluggishly compared to BT3 final, at least on my 2g.
Thanks to the dev team and anyone else involved.
Kindest regards
James

I have the 8G, Knetwork manger does not even lauch. I'm able to put card into monitor mode with airmon.
Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69
Has anyone tried;
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-intrepid-generic
sudo modprobe ath5k
Then;
sudo -s
echo blacklist ath_pci >> /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
This may get the wireless working, I know it got my wireless working on my 701 Eee on the latest Ubuntu and im wondering is it the same on BT4. I can't test it right now, unfortunately i'm still in work and don't have access to my Eee. But if anyone wants to have a go let me know how you got on.
Oh and btw obviously you need to be connected by ethernet to do this.
download this rar file: http://www.zshare.net/download/5577512770be3247/
put the 2 lzm files in \BT4\modules\ and (re)boot.
under k meny - internet you now have wlassistant,
working great on my eee 701 pc both with internal and external wificard.
Anyone Had a go at this yet??
