Im new to this whole linux deal and off to a very bad start.

im using Vmware workstation 6.5.1 to run backtrack 3.

been trying to get my wusb600n installed for about 8 hours now.

i have read ALOT and nothing makes sense. i tried following steps that people have given on this site and others but i just cant figure it out.

i downloaded drivers and there saved in /root next to an icon that says desktop. if any one can help please do.

You need to understand the basic fundamentals of how linux works, etc rather than declaring that you have read alot and none made any sense. You need to understand what extensions opens with what, the basic navigation inside CLI, some basic building tools, etc.

First off, you need to extract the files out of the that file. If you googled the extension, it would have shown that it is a compressed archive.

Also, being vague isn't going to help anyone.. where did you download the file? where did you say you read the docs? which websites?
