Bumping your own thread, especially so soon after posting is only gonna piss people off. If someone has an answer for you, they'll post it.
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.
I too have the bcm4311 chip in my Dell Laptop. I use the BT3 USB version and everything works fine for me. I assume iwconfig returns your wireless card? Is it turned on?
try airmon-ng <device> up, and try again.
or start-kismet-ng and see if you can get any packets.
i am getting a eroor i do the 2 comments
/usr/local/bin/start-kismit-ng: canoot excute binary file
airmon-ng

i tryied the comments but
they seey my wirless chip (bcm43xx) monitor mode enabled)
but i have still no scan results
i have posted 2 times???
/etc/init.d/NetworkManager start
Then look at your "globe" icon in kde, right-click, add a wireless network... etc.
