BT4 is compiled for x86 processors and the PS3 uses Cell processors.
There is a version of ubuntu for PS3 but you will have to rebuild in all the BT3 customisation yourself.

Did you download them from the official mirrors?
Are you using a proxy? Had the issue with corrupt downloads a while ago when I've been using a proxy.

I've download the fromDear ShadowKill ,I think every one know what is CrC error is,and the only cure for it is just to put recovery recored when archiving file...Code:ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/backtrack/bt4-beta-vm-6.5.1.rar

I dont use proxy,once i try with IDM, After that FlashGet and for 3th time FDM
(I've also heard that some times if we use download manager the possibility of having CRC error would increase but this file is realy big and without if it crash between trasnfer all will lost,but by using recovery record if you recive file with or without any kind of download manager you download,when it has CRC error you can fix it after download)
