What Wireless Card Would You Recommend for ME!
I am an amateur pentester, programmer, etc.
I have a bit of experience in WEP cracking, WLAN Analysis, etc.
I HAD a W54GV4 which broke on me. I am looking for an upgrade but having a bit of trouble.
I want a PCMIA or USB DONGLE which is fully capable of Injecting and Monitoring AND HAS great range (ie. external antenna) yet won't break the bank!
I expect it to have fully supported linux drivers as well!
What would YOU recommend!?!?!
USB: Alfa AWUS036H (does 802.11g)
PCMCIA: Ubiquiti SRC (does 802.11a/b/g)
PCMCIA: Proxim (Orinoco) 8470-WD (does 802.11b/g)
All have external antenna connectors. The Proxim is cheaper than the Ubiquiti. The Alfa is probably the most versatile since it will work in VMware, and since some newer laptops don't come with PCMCIA slots. The Alfa has a RP-SMA connector.
There are other good cards, these are the ones that I have experience with and would recommend.
Anybody else have any recommendations!
CybrSnpr- Are those all Linux/BT3 compatible??
Yes, out of the box on BT3, they meet all the requirements that you requested in your post. That's why I recommended them.
