Well I have same kind of problem, when using bt4 DVD, try with unebootin, it might help.
It seems that your dvd drive may been breaking down. or there might be some problems with that dvd that you use.
Hi
I'm having problems booting the liveDVD, even after verifying the md5 hash of bt4-final.
I choose the first loader option and after a while I see lots of errors - an extract follows:
Buffer I/O error on device hdc ...
hdc: media error ...
SQUASHFS error: squashfs_read_data failed to read block ...
etc.
See attached screen photos - sorry for the reflections.
I'm a relative newbie with Linux but an old (school) hand at Unix, however I'm not familiar with these errors. A search didn't show anything definite.
Could it be an issue with my laptop's DVDROM?

Tried unetbootin but my laptop won't boot off USB.
Then I burned another DVD - similar errors.
Then I cleaned the DVDROM drive's laser, reseated it in the laptop and tried again - this time it boots fine!![]()
i had this problem but mine was from a faulty disc - i had to burn BT4 to 3 dvd to get a good copy at 3x speed
