Don't take this wrong, but why would you want to update kde?
I had an hard disk installation for BackTrack3 Live CD and I want to try KDE 4.2 .
I read one tutorial on ht*tp://wiki.remote-exploit.org/index.php/HowTo:Install_KDE_4.1] but it was for KDE 4.1.
Is there any I should take care when I upgrade my BackTrack to KDE 4.2 ?
Thanks in advance.

Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69
Should just need to change the mirror directories and file names to suit the newest packages. Just as side bar we tried out KDE4 and it was determined that it was the super suck poopy desktop.
