Ok, i am having a hard time trying to install this onto backtrack 3 live cd.
I have been searching the internet for sever hours trying to figure out how to get this to work, i have even been reading the install files to see if that could shed sum light on this but i am still unable to figure out the commands to install this program..
So i decided to come hear and ask you guy's if you could give me a little help..
All i need is the codes for installing this program..
Thanks for your help..
just take out the z argument
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.
Do you have either one of the following; gtk-recordMyDesktop or qt-recordMyDesktop?
Also from the command line you can:
That will give you a full screen capture and you can use ctrl-c to stop the recording.Code:$ recordmydesktop --no-sound -o filename.ogg
I would also suggest as streaker69 mentioned read up on the man pages a bit.
So, to use the gui interface i got this version of it, gtk-recordmydesktop-0.3.7.2..
I have run this command
And was able to unzip the file.
But when i run the cd command i get this error.
bt ~ # cd gtk-recordmydesktop-0.3.7.2.tar.gz
-bash: cd: gtk-recordmydesktop-0.3.7.2.tar.gz: Not a directory
never mind the post, i am an idiot and i just now figured out what i was doing wrong.
SLAP BLOODHACKER LOL
ok guys i have fully installed gtk-recordmydesktop-0.3.7.2.tar.gz, but i am still not able to run it in a gui interface..
when i go to the command line i type recordmydesktop, and i get the command line interface and not the gui interface...
Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69
