A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.
Something told me this was coming.
Do you have either one of the following; gtk-recordMyDesktop or qt-recordMyDesktop?
Also from the command line you can:
That will give you a full screen capture and you can use ctrl-c to stop the recording.Code:$ recordmydesktop --no-sound -o filename.ogg
I would also suggest as streaker69 mentioned read up on the man pages a bit.
To be successful here you should read all of the following.

yes i just now figured out that i had downloaded the wrong app after reading up on this program on the main page..
So, to use the gui interface i got this version of it, gtk-recordmydesktop-0.3.7.2..
I have run this command
tar xzvf
And was able to unzip the file.
But when i run the cd command i get this error.
bt ~ # cd gtk-recordmydesktop-0.3.7.2.tar.gz
-bash: cd: gtk-recordmydesktop-0.3.7.2.tar.gz: Not a directory
never mind the post, i am an idiot and i just now figured out what i was doing wrong.
SLAP BLOODHACKER LOL

when i go to the command line i type recordmydesktop, and i get the command line interface and not the gui interface...
Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69
