iam a newbie in bt and i want to learn how to delete my xp pass with bt3
if anyone could give me a tutorial that explains it step by step i will be thankfull
could you be slightly more specific?
do you mean access secure files on the computer without using the password?
do you mean delete so that you can reboot with windows and not have to type in your password?
i'm not even sure either of those are possible... the best advice i could give you for overcoming a password would be to locate the hash and use JTR

Yes, I agree. "Hirens Boot CD" is a fantastic tool indeed, many many tools that are just fantastic.
Alternatively you could just grab the SAM file and the SysKey and head over to hxxp://plain-text.info and use their Rainbow table collection. You will probably not find the website in it's original state, however you do not actually need to use the website as they work on all the tables via IRC. So..head to their IRC server and ask C3P0 (the bot) to crack the NTLM. Once you get the hash cracked, log into your XP machine and simply go to Control Panel and change the password to blank. I don't know why you would want to delete the password, it just doesn't make sense.

Well Hirens BootCD only ever failed me once (that was recently). I checked out the program "UBCD4Win" that you mentioned, I am very impressed. The list of software that comes with UBCD4Win is dominating compared to Hirens. I am going to download this right now

PS: I did not see my favourite software from Hirens in the list of tools for UBCD4Win. The software is called "HDD Regenerator" by Dmitri Primochenko - xxx.dposoft.net. Im sure it is not the end of the world as anyone can just download it and use it without having to be in a collection CD.
