Default No results when using netdiscover in passive mode

    Hey gents,

For some reason I am unable to obtain any results when using netdiscover in passive mode.

    My setup is as follows;
    linksys WRT54G
1 PC connected to the webz
1 laptop connected to the webz
Using BackTrack3 on my eee for testing

So when firing up netdiscover normally
    Code:
    netdiscover -i atho
I get the above two IPs in use no problems.

    When trying in passive mode
    Code:
    netdiscover -i ath0 -p
No results, I even let it run overnight thinking it would take longer which it probably does,
however after 144 Arp Req/Rep , with total size of 6048 .. nada..

Any obvious areas where I am going astray ?

    Thanks !

    Thanks for the reply,

I must be missing something obvious here though..

Not possible to run in monitor mode as would need to be associated to AP, and when trying (just to be stubborn)
    Code:
libnet_init() failed: unknown physical layer type 0x322
    ah well, will keep trying.
