can't input wep key in back track 3

When I go to connect to my network, running BT3 from my USB with persistence, I can see it, and the other networks around, but when I try to input my wep key in the box, BT3 won't let me, theirs no cursor, no nothing.
Am I really dense and missing something?
I tried searching Google, but to no avail, will someone here please answer this noobs simple question?
