edimax-ew7318usg with airodump

hi every one
i have a problem with my wifi card
i am using edimax-ew7318usg
and runnning backtrack 3 final
i have make all the instruction putted in
aircrack-ng.org/doku.php?id=rt73

when i launch airodump-ng rausb0
some time i pick AP but the most time i will pick nothing even my own AP
can any one help me please
(the usb is new i run it with xp and it run very well)

Have you search on forum before posting this question.this is the most common question asked by every newbie here and relatively answered 100 times per week.always googling first and if still your homework is not achiving reults,post question here.

For working that adapter always attach it after properly booting of bt3.second try injection test with
aireplay-ng -9 rausb0
if it says injection is working,well and fine.if not then lower the injection rate by using
iwconfig rausb0 rate 1M
retest using the aireplay command and it should work now.

i dont know if i have fix the problem
but i did all what you say ,i have the same probem some time good, some time bad
i don't know exactly what the steps i did after that ;
then i don't have any problem with my wifi (i can scan normally with airodump)
(i unplug my wifi ,i make it down ,i put it in monitor mode...)
then finally it is good
if any one help me please exactly what i should type from the beginning (updating my driver ... to using airodump-ng) and if you can tell me if i should unplug my wifi in any step

i make large number of test of command on my edimax wifi usb i could find that:


i update my driver
i scan with airodump-ng i can find a list of AP

when i put these command;
ifconfig rausb0 down
macchanger --mac 00:11:22:33:44:55 rausb0 (even if i haven't change my mac )

i rescan again using airodump-ng BUT i can't find any AP !!

((please help me how can i fix my problem))

just unplug and replug it, it should work then
