On an interesting note of my own, I've been getting calls from a Indian Canuck here of late calling from 416-640-3489. Googling that number turns up posts that it's a scammer.
So tonight I decided to pick up:

Indian Canuck: Hello, I'm calling on behalf of <couldn't understand him>, I not calling to sell anything but I would like to speak to someone in the household....
Me: You didn't call a household, you called the City Morgue.
Indian Canuck: Oh, I'm sorry...<click>

I have to say I have a dedicated scammer on my hands. He's sent me over 40 emails wanting updates on the wire transfer. I told him I needed to talk to him, as I didn't feel comfortable wiring the money. I gave him my conference room number and we all went in to wait for his call. The guy called me from a satellite phone which kept dropping. I managed to record the conversation, which I'll try and post here soon. He called again today and my co-worker told him I was at the bank and to hold on the line.
Anyway, here are some of the email correspondence:
Code:PLS I CALLED YOU RIGTH NOW AND A, IN WASHINTON AND I WOULD LIKE YOU TO GO TO WESTERN UNION AND GO AND SEND THE MONEY NOW VIA WESTERN UNION SO HE CAN GET THE MONEY OK AND THE SHIPPER WOULD COME FOR PICKUP NOW ASAP HE GETS THE MONEY OK .....AM IN D.C RIGTH NOW IN A CONFERENCE OK SO SEND THE MONEY TO N.C OK AND GET BACK TO ME WIT THE WESTRN UNION MONEY TRANSFER NUMBER OK SO THAT THE SHIPPER CAN COME FOR PICL UP ASAP .................Code:look william i am not joking this time i am dem seriuos i tried calling you again and it didnt go through i guessed you heard my voice once so pls go send the all the money with you after deducting your item fee and get back to me with the wester union money transfer control number now and the names of the sender and receiver ok now ...............or first thing tommorow ok .Code:Hello, You have been flagged and reported since ever i dont read back from you means you run away with my money. There is no further need to continue soliciting users from Craigslist or any other online classified web site. Your computer IP and Mac address's of your modem has now been recorded and on record at the BBC and FBI registry. Any further use of your PC to solicit will result in heavy fines and prison time. Consider this your final warning for you to get back to me with the status of the payment with you. Trace route back to user.
