    Default BT3 Environmental Variables

    Hi

    I understand that to temporarily set a new path into the $PATH variable I can do:
    Code:
     PATH="<PATH_TO_ADD>:$PATH"
    I'd like to amend my profile so that it does this at each login, thus making the amendment persistent.

    In Ubuntu I'd just edit $HOME/.profile, I can't find a way to do this in my installed BackTrack though.

    Anybody able to help?

    Thanks

    You can add it to /etc/profile.
    Code:
    export PATH="<PATH_TO_ADD>:$PATH"
