problem with intel 3945 + BT 3

is possible to put intel 3945 work in vmware with BT 3?
i use windows xp and i cant activate my wireless card in vmware, have any solution?

i have intel 3945, i need to install any kind of special drivers?

i can use the command: airodump-ng wlan0 and i only capture beacons, no data, and i have good signal, i think the cause of this is the error i show u above, please i need help

There isn't an ipw3945 driver installed in BT3. There is only the iwl3945 driver for association and ipwraw for packet injection. Even if it was installed the ipw3945 driver wouldn't work in this case as it doesn't support injection. From my own personal experience, the iwl3945 driver is not as temperamental as the ipw3945 driver.

the ipw3945 driver does support injection. i have it working fine.

I'm not trying to start a debate on this but here is how it is wrt BT3.
iwl3945 is the driver used for associating to access points. ipwraw is the driver that supports injection. Both of these are included in BT3. The ipw3945 driver is now deprecated to the newer iwl3945 driver, which is not included in BT3 and only supports association. You are right in the fact that ipwraw is a raw testing driver that was used to test the ipw3945 driver, but they are not one in the same.

Sorry, i am a hell noob and only just starting BT3.
But yeah i am having the problem with the error aswell. (what the first post was about) And yeah, i read some of the other posts about installing the drivers, can someone please help me do this? Sorry for wasting peoples time.

you know, i have the same card and all i did was a search. found it with no problem. there are about a million posts with this same thing, just search for ipwraw. tells you step by step how to input.
