from hdd back to usb
hi all,
i was wondering if anyone can help me with wrapping my updated hdd install back into an image that can be put back onto usb stick?
i have updated a number of essestial like kde 4 and would like to place this back onto a bootable usb pendrive....
i've searched google and here but these don't seem to be a simple solution ie a script that will take care of the hard work.
thanks

thre's no simple way, you need to build modules and pack them as lzm. Wiki will tell you more on building modules

Gromeo is right. You need to dir2lzm each of the parent directories and then replace the original usb ones.

no worries
so there is not change of running something like this http://www.slackware.com/~alien/tool..._slackboots.sh then.
i thought replacing kde would be diffrent than just creating the bin.lzm, usr.lzm files..
i will give it a go, oh for anyone thats intrested suns virtual box works a treat under backtrack 3
