im thinking this is either a monitor resolution problem or a video card driver problem which i dont know and do not know.....i think maybe i could edit the xorg.conf file but i am a newb and dunno how to go about this

i have a 19 inch monitor with an optimum resolution of 1440x900 with a refresh rate of 60hz and my video card is a intel G33/G31 express chipset, any help would be greatly appreciated and i appologize if this is covered elsewhere and i've missed it in my 4 hour search, thank you all in advance~cheers

    (replace , with . )

It works fine on my screen which is 1024x600 but your is different from mine. It may not work on yours.
    Hoping someone can help you.

    Good luck !!
