i figured out the issue i had to "quote" if it had spaces" but now

    bt ~ # aireplay-ng -1 0 -a 00:18:4D:4E:2C:60 -h 00:11:22:33:44:55 -e "kiew nikon has your face" rausb0
The interface MAC (00:17:9A:C4:4E:97) doesn't match the specified MAC (-h).
    ifconfig rausb0 hw ether 00:11:22:33:44:55
18:46:55 Waiting for beacon frame (BSSID: 00:18:4D:4E:2C:60) on channel 6

18:46:55 Sending Authentication Request (Open System)

18:46:57 Sending Authentication Request (Open System)

    Attack was unsuccessful. Possible reasons:

    * Perhaps MAC address filtering is enabled.
    * Check that the BSSID (-a option) is correct.
    * Try to change the number of packets (-o option).
    * The driver/card doesn't support injection.
    * This attack sometimes fails against some APs.
    * The card is not on the same channel as the AP.
    * You're too far from the AP. Get closer, or lower
    the transmit rate.

    bt ~ #

    Have you:
Checked to see is MAC filtering is enabled?
Checked to see if your are using the correct BSSID?
    Changed the number of packets?
Checked to see if your card supports packets injection?
Tried this a few times against your AP?
Made sure your card is on the same channel of the AP?
Moved closer to the AP and tried the attack?
Lowered the transmit rate to say "1M"?

If after you have tried all of these possibilities and it still doesn't work, please provide the EXACT commands you are running (and responses) and we will try to assist.

hey guys im still having issues with this ive tried a number of tutorials on you tube and other websites but i keep coming to a dead end.. this is one of the things i fallowed

    h T T p://ww.cyber-knowledge.n3t/blog/2007/01/08/cracking-wep/

I am learning the commands by memory now so thats good i guess

anyway i checked some of those things out..

Checked to see is MAC filtering is enabled? I checked my router and its not on
Checked to see if your are using the correct BSSID? double checked even copy and pasted
Changed the number of packets? not sure i get alot of packets
Checked to see if your card supports packets injection? i assume so G122 C1 V3.00 did the injection test and it worked.
Tried this a few times against your AP? tried 3 APs
Made sure your card is on the same channel of the AP? yes set it airmon-ng start rausb0 11
Moved closer to the AP and tried the attack? i was 2 week away
Lowered the transmit rate to say "1M"? yes

any other suggestions? is there a way to find someone local where i live to help me out or is there a remote access feature in BT ?

have you got something by that error.you are supplying the fake MAC which you have not sppofed already.at this point either leave -h option as it is or first spoof the mac address and then use -h option.use these steps

    • always connect dongle after properly booting BT

    • use macchanger before executing the aireplay command

    ifconfig rausb0 down
    macchanger -m 00:11:22:33:44:55 rausb0
    ifconfig rausb0 up

    • No need of using airmon-ng
    • iwconfig rausb0 rate 1M
    • aireplay-ng -9 rausb0
    • carry on with your pen-testing.......
