    Default Sound problems Aspire one

    Hello,
I am sorry to bother all but I was wondering if anybody has got the sound to work with an Intel 82801G audio chip. I am running BT3 installed to hard drive on an acer aspire one 150. lspci gives me the following output for Audio:

00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02)

I have tried alsaconf which informs me that the sound is correctly configured, I then try alsamixer and can adjust the volume but when playing an audio file no sound is heard.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am a complete newbie.

    Many Thanks
    Che

Seems to be a few of us with this problem but no one has come forward with any solutions or at least point us in the right direction. I have looked all over this forum but nothing clear about sound.
My Acer Aspire One 120g HD and 1g memory works sweet with BT3 even monitor mode on the wirless card and saving changes to my USB stick..
