Thanks terminal86. That sounds about right. i'll try it later. Chipset, is that of my wireless card? i think its one of these BCM432b or BCM32056000. I would usually use the search function but i couldn't understand what they were talking about as i am a linux noob. Thanks again.

Well, in that case you should start with a distribution like Fedora or Ubuntu to learn the basics of Linux and the basic commands. It will be easier for you to understand the results of your search and will also help you to understand how the tools are working in BT.
