Hi, could someone possibly post instructions to install dedected software to BT4 hdd install, I have tried all the methods I could find on the net but not successfully, dect_cli does not work.

Step one download said package or packages.
Step two A view any and all included documentation.
Step two B failing to find any included documentation search online.
Step two C Failing A and B above contact author or developer or Company.
Step three install said package/s
Step four use said package.

Now seriously why don't you link us to what you have tried to follow and then you also post exactly what step/s you could not achieve, any and all error messages you received. Also how you have installed BT as well as a bit about your hardware might help.

I have BT4 installed on my HD and did an "apt-get install deDECTed" but after installing I try dect_cli with type 2 com-on-air card inserted but get "command not found"? dmesg only shows "pcmcia_socket pcmcia_socket0: pccard: PCMCIA card inserted into slot 0" and not Dosch and Amand? If no one is able to help does anyone know when the How To " Dect sniffing with Backtrack (Coming Soon) will be completed? Thank you.

quick install/howto:

- after succesfully "apt-get install dedected",
- try "modprobe pcmcia"
- change directory to "/pentest/sniffers/dedected/com-on-air_cs-linux#"
- then do "insmod com_on_air_cs.ko"
- now, "/pentest/sniffers/dedected/com-on-air_cs-linux/tools/dect_cli" works fine!

Hello,

I'm trying to install dedected and with a type III card on my old laptop and followed this through.

at modprobe pcmcia should i see something appear after i have entered it ?

and when i get to "insmod com_on_air_cs.ko" in the "/pentest/sniffers/dedected/com-on-air_cs-linux" directory, i get the following error :

"error inserting 'com_on_air_cs.ko': -1 Invalid module format"

what i am doing wrong ?
