Hi guys I am trying to crack WPA.
I put my card into monitor mode then...
I run airodump-ng
I see all ap's THEIR BSSID'S ETC.
On the bottom I see some Bssid's and to the right of them under station I see what looks like mac addresses for clients connected to those aps.
1. Am I understanding this right?
Please help me understand this.
Some time I see Not associated on the left of the station.
2. Does this mean that client is not connected to that AP?
Thank you for your help!!!!
Not associated usually = not connected :0

Does it really matter in this instance? He is simply firing up airodump-ng and trying to get a hang of how to read and interpret the output.
EDIT: Didn't notice the first line where he states that he is trying to crack WPA. So my mistake if he is planning to conduct the actual testing on an advice he does not have the permission to use.
