    Default Which repositories using for BT3?

    Hi guys,

    can you said which repositories you using for BT3 and what with the restricted dependens like alsa-lib, etc... because i try install vlc from repositories and his say that they need alsa-lib :/ Which repositories you prefer and how to upgrade all dependens? Sorry but i am newbie in BT3, before i have used only Ubuntu and he install automaticlly all dependes and software from repos.

    If my memory serves me BT3F is based on Slax and Slax is based on Slackware 12.0. Goto http://slackware.com/getslack/ and select your country and find the fastest mirror. Edit the /etc/slapt-get/slapt-getrc and change the source line to what the site you choose. For example my source line is SOURCE=ftp://slackware.mirrors.tds.net/pub/slackware/slackware-12.1/ because I upgraded to 12.1 (not for newbies). You would want SOURCE=ftp://slackware.mirrors.tds.net/pub/slackware/slackware-12.0/ if you are in the US.

    I comment out the default slackware.com servers, because for me they are sooooo sloooow
