vlc on BT3 final

could someone pls help me with this?
I dloaded the vlc for slackware and tried to install,
but i was unable 2 do so.
....and oh is there any way i can get slapt-get to work?

Easiest way to install slap-get is through Fast-Track, and how did you attempt to install vlc and what was the exact error output you got? I would also recommend that you use the search function as both of these questions have already been answered a few times on the forum.
