graphics problem acer aspire one A150L intel 945 GME

I can't get the x server to work properly. All the intel drivers fail to start the grapchics system (intel, i810, i740) with "cannot allocate memory" error. The only working driver is VESA at 800x600. How can I make it 1024x600?
I downloaded the latest "intel" module and still isn't working.
Any ideas?
I'm running backtrack 3 with 2.6.21.5-smp kernel.
