No PCMCIA controller detected
Hey all,
Sorry if this is really simple, but i searched the forums and there seems to be other people having the same problem, but no real solution.
I am using a Netgear WG511T PCMCIA card, which is Atheros based. Now this works fine under windows, but whenever i try to use it in BT3 i can never get it working. Under the configure PCMCIA screen it simply says, "no pcmcia controller detected".
Could it be because i am using it in VMWare? The network adapters are bridged and it has no problem picking up and using the built in wireless (not atheros based).
The dmesg result is quite long, so i wont post it, unless you guys need it, but is there anything i should look for.
Sorry again if this is easy. I've only just started learning about it all.
Thanks Guys!!

Notes about VMWare or any other virtualisation software
VMWare or any other virtualisation software generally does not allow backtrack 2 or 3 as guest to operate fully with the wireless card. The only exception are USB wireless cards, do not ask about support for VMWare supporting wireless cards for PCI/PCI-E/PCMCIA/MINI-PCI/MINI-PCIe/EXPRESS CARD in #remote-exploit.

I wonder why people don't do proper research
