    Default Installing Netgear WG511T

I am having trouble installing my Netgear WG511T card. It is a atheros chipset, but when I plug it in, it shows up as wifi0. From what I have read it should show up as ath0. Unless I am completely missing a step I am clueless.

ath0 should be the first one on the list, if not you can always create one. Go to and go into the section of monitor howto. From there it will teach you the basics of creating a VAP.
