Question bt3 final on usb + nvidia drivers for 8600gt

    hi
    my first post here

anyway, I'm using bt3 final on my usb drive, everithing is, let's say stock, but, I'm planing to make some changes since I'm sick of changing keyboard layout n'stuff on every boot...

    so, here's some questions:

    1. found some stuff on net about making another partition on drive for storing changes, will those changes store automatic or do I need to type something somewhere

    2. about installing fresh nvidia drivers
when I boot into compiz nvidia experimental, it show some errors, but, after some surfing I learned that I need new drivers, so I downloaded them, and the only thing i did was next, after I try to boot in nvidia compiz experimental, it hangs in the login screen where it prompts for root/toor, after entering it, I use this:

    Code:
    /mnt/live/mnt/sdd1/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-169.07-pkg1.run
after the standard install procedure, it returns me to login screen where i enter startx, and the thing works like it should

but, how can I edit it to skip installing driver on every boot ?

found some stuff about hdd installations on this forum, but non of them worked 4 my usb...

    thanx a lot

    p.s.
    sorry 4 my bad english

    p.s.s
sorry for noob questions, I started to use linux 7 days ago

    thanx 4 any help

From what I understand you are running a 'live distro' from your USB drive,

In this case every time you start up it's at a 'fresh install state', as any changes that are made to the file sytem are done so in memory.

If you want persistent changes it may be worth reading the post here: http://forums.remote-exploit.org/showthread.php?t=6096 and using the forum search function

    Advent Vega (Tegra 250)

Working on getting BT5 working on the Vega

no it ain't, I've managed to create second linux partition on my usb drive and now it stores my changes there
