Default BT4 R2 hangs at Starting System Tools Backends............

Whenever I try to boot either BT4 R2 with DVD or USB flash drive with the persistent option, the systems hangs at:

Starting System Tools Back ends:System-Tools_back ends..........

All other options work fine, just only the persistent option have this problem. I checked my DVD with the hashcal (MD5) and it checks out fine.

I have been using various backtrack distros (BT2, BT3, BT4,..) for the last three years but never had this problem.

I would appreciate it if anyone has any suggestions to solve this problem.

Have you tried reinstalling it on your flash drive, following a guide ?
