distribution upgrade??

This is not ubuntu, this is backtrack. Just apt-get update, upgrade and dist-upgrade.

You have obviously added repositories other than the backtrack ones, if you do do a dist-upgrade you will no longer be running backtrack and are on your own. Using repositories other than the official backtrack ones is NOT recommended or supported, you WILL break your system.

hello, i know that i am a little late, sorry.
I am new in backtrack. However, when i make : cat /etc/apt/sources.list, i've got only SUN Backtrack Linux Repository as a repository servers.

Even with that, i receive from the update manager, the possibility to upgrade to the release 9.04.
